    To Nick’s family:
While I never met Nick personally, I frequently spoke with him on the phone at my workplace. I always enjoyed our conversations – Luke was a frequent topic. I’ll remember Nick’s kind voice and easy-going demeanor.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He will be missed. I’ll be praying for each you!

    Donna, Jessica and Family,
I can not imagine the pain that you are going through. I do know, however, that there is a God that specializes in broken hearts. Allow Him to heal you. We do not know why He chose to take Nick, but we do know that He is an all-knowing God and He makes no mistakes. While you are on this earth, you may never be able to understand why, but when you get to Heaven, it will be made clear. God may have taken Nick, so that through his testimony others may come to him. Stay strong. Keep the faith. Trust Him. I loved and cherished Nick as a friend. Please know that so many people are here for you and ready and willing to do whatever you may need to help during this time of grief and loss. Understand that you and your family are loved and not alone!

I am truly sorry to hear of Nick passing. I really enjoyed getting to know Nick and the rest of the family while I worked for him taking of Orpha. It was a shock to hear that he was so sick and so bad so quickly. It hasn’t even been a year that I was down at your all’s home enjoying a nice visit with you all. Hard to believe what can happen less than a year. I always kept informed by Eric’s wife and Nick’s friends of how he was doing from Mutual. Take care of yourself. Once again I am truly sorry he was a wonderful person that I am glad I got to know. You all will be in prayers and thoughts.

To Donna and family of Nicky, You have all our sympathy and sadness. Nicky was a great guy in high school and a good “Bud”. I am so glad that Wendell and I were able to visit last Wednesday. Donna, Jessica and Family
It is with great sadness in our hearts as we send our sympathy to each of you; but we rejoice in the great homecoming that Nick experienced Saturday where he was welcomed home–good and faithful servant. Oh what an impact Nick had on our lives, always sharing the love of Jesus with us each time he visited. We shall never see a big hat on a beautiful head of white hair, that we won’t thank God for allowing Nick Warf to be a part of our lives. May you find comfort in knowing this separation is only temporary and you will see him again, pain free and rejoicing with his Savior. We will keep you in our prayers and pray you feel God’s presence with you now and in the days ahead. We love you dearly, dear, dear friends.

    Donna, Stephen, Sherry and family,
I am sorry for your loss. I pray for peace and comfort for you and your families.
I would like to share a few words with you from Legacy Five ‘s song callerd “Hello after Goodbye”.that has given me great comfort in the loss of my brother and sweet great nephew. I pray the words will give you comfort.

“Hello after Goodbye” by Legacy Five

We dress in black and we say goodbye, how our hearts break and, oh, how we cry :
Yet through we grieve, we still have hope
‘Cause for all hearts of faith, we trust and know
There is a hello after goodbye, a blessed reunion, promised in time
We will be with them far longer than we were without
No doubt, no more tears in our eyes
In that beautiful, wonderful, hello after goodbye

Next time we see them, we’ll never more know
The sorrow and pain of letting go
We’re with them forever, life without end
In that most blessed sweet moment when
We will see them again, be with them again
Laugh and talk like before, sing and worship forever more
There is a Hello after Goodbye………..

May Good Bless You during this time.

My deepest condolence to Nick’s family. Nick and I graduated in the class of ’65 at Powell Valley High School. I knew Nick best from track. He was always a superior athelete, a standout in the discus event and all around good guy. Unfortunately after graduation I don’t recall seeing him again. Following retirement I have recently returned to the area where we both grew up. I find myself rekindling friendships with folks I have not seen in over 40 years. I am sorry that I didn’t get to see Nick again before his passing but I hope to see him again when we are reunited in our Heavenly home.

Nick and I we next door neighbors since we were 5 year old. Played in the mountains together, built cabins, went fishing, went swimming in the river you name it. We later played High School sports together at Powell Valley High School. Went into the Army together and were Army Drill Sgt. together. Worked at TN Eastman and even lived in the same Apt. Complex together. Through all that and never had an argument. As we got grown we became Brothers in Christ JESUS ! Nick Loved the Lord and was Proud to share JESUS with all who would listen ! GOD BLESS THE WARF FAMILY ~ We Are Praying for YOU ALL ! RIP, MY BROTHER AND WE WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN SOON, AND THIS TIME IT WILL BE WITH JESUS FOREVER !!! <

We were good friends when we were in school… But, time has a way of separating people but it doesn’t take away the memories. Nick and I were friends during high school and until I moved from Big Stone Gap in the early part of 1973. He was a great guy and we had some great times. I spent some nights at his home parents’ home. His mother and father were always very nice to me and I thought a lot of both of them, especially his father,Claude, since I knew him more. May God bless you Nick and may you rest in peace, my trusted friend. I will always miss you.

To: the family of Nick Warf
It is with deep sadness that I received news of Nick’s passing. I have known Nick since we were in the 3rd grade together at East Stone Gap school, and proud to be one of his fellow graduates in the PVHS class of 65. I regret not having seen him in a while, as my Mom passed away near the same time that Claude passed away. I had put Nick on our prayer list at First Christian Church, and will now put the family on. I know he loved the Lord very much and is now with Him. May God bless and be with each of you.
