Curtis “Kirk” Jordan, 41, of Riceville, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. He was a 1986 graduate of McMinn Central High School and was an avid Central sports fan. His hobbies included scuba diving, rappelling, bicycling and fishing. He was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church. He was an ordained minister, and pastored N. Sweetwater Baptist Church and Walnut Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of the Etowah Masonic Lodge, and was an employee of Bowater for 9 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mae Jordan; and grandfather, Lee White, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Pam Jordan of Riceville; one daughter, Gabby Jordan of Riceville; one son, Curtis Jordan of Riceville; his parents, Herman and Doris Jordan of Decatur; grandmother, Zella White of Washburn, TN; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Randy Harmon of Dunlap; and two nieces, Taylor and Bailey Harmon. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 in the South Chapel. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Scott Leslie, Shane Clark, Charles Morgan, Justin Hurst, LeeEd Hurst and Greg Hurst will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14th at the funeral home.
