Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I always enjoyed going to the Hitching Post Restaurant and in 1972, my former husband asked me to marry him there. I still miss eating at Hitching Post Restaurant. Many good memories there.

May your strength prevail to help you through this difficult time. Remember too, that Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Sincere sympathy to all of Charlie’s remaining family. He was a really good friend to us. I’m glad that he had as many good years as he did. When it’s done life seems so very, very short.

My Father and Charlie were best of friends and our families were close. Charles Donohue, dad would call him (his middle name) I had the privilege of getting to be around him often when he and Dad were together. Out at the golf course, watching a Tennessee football game, at The Hitching Post, a back porch cookout or just hanging out at the kitchen table, he always treated me with great respect. He was a gentleman…. a man’s man. He was first class all the way. I am certain he will be greatly missed yet fondly remembered by all who knew him. May God bless the entire Smith family… Karen and Deanna , our thoughts and prayers are with you.
