Obituary

Alice Faye Payne, 81 of Knoxville, TN formally of Benton passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2018. She was a native of Madisonville, TN and retired from Etowah Manufacturing.

A daughter of the late Money and Grace Jenkins. Preceded in death by her first husband, Warren H. Martindale; second husband, John D. Payne; 2 sisters, Ida Mae Reynold, Thelma Jenkins; 5 brothers, Hubert, Jerry A., David, George and Burkey Jenkins.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda Mae and Randall Allan Harper; grandson, Zackery Allan Harper; Step-children and spouse, Susan and Andrew Wilson, Richard Payne and John Payne; step-granddaughter, Burgandy Payne; 5 brothers, J.R., John, Billy, Mike and Ricky Jenkins; sisters, Donnie R. Thompson, Linda A. Watson, Virgie F. Cross, Brenda R. Jenkins and Judy Jenkins.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, February 5, 2018 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Robbie Speights officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday prior to the service. The Interment will follow the service to Green Hill Cemetery.

    I was so sorry to hear of Alice’s passing. She was a wonderful neighbor and will be sorely missed by the residents of Cascade Villas. My sympathy goes out to her family.
