It’s been right over a week now since my Dearest Papaw went on to join his Heavenly family..Oh how I miss him SO and it still doesn’t seem real. But I am also SO thankful that he is not suffering anymore as he had a rough battle over this past month. He fought SO hard to get better and stay with us longer. I will never forget the time I spent with him over the last month helping to take care of him during his final days on this earth. We made SO many new memories I will forever cherish. My Papaw was a “top notch” man in my eyes….he loved his family dearly, but kept his love for the Lord at the foremost center of his life. Anyone who knew him or even briefly met him could sense that about him. We all know he heard the words “Faithful Servant, job well done” when he entered those pearly gates… He never had anything really valuable in life, but was happy with what he had and never wanted anything more. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always said that NO ONE could top my Papaw or my Dad in my eyes and I will forever hold on to that confession. Our family won’t ever be the same without Papaw as our solid foundation…

To the Etowah Depot Museum…yes Papaw must have received your calendar from 2012 as he had it posted on his wall in the living room. Thank you for sending it to him as everyone knows how much he loved his train rides!!! Even during his last days, he had already planned to get well enough to go on the first ride in May….:) Our family is going to get together and take a ride in memory of him. Know he will be looking down on us when we do with a big ol’ smile on his sweet little face..

On behalf of my entire family, I thank you all for your many prayers and support. We will always be appreciate of your kindess and generosity.

    With Love,
    Angie
