Joyce Lela Borden, 78, of Englewood, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at her residence. She was a daughter of the late, Mitchell “Bud” and Ida Stella Ervin. She was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Viola and Johnny Cline, Olivia and Alvin Gibson, Ethel and Joe Arnold, and Edna and Arthur Buckner; brother and sister-in-law, James and Ann Ervin; and brother-in-law, Carl Duckett. Survivors include her husband, William Larry Borden of Englewood, TN; sons and daughter-in-law; Mitch Borden and Lisa of Madisonville, TN, and Brian Borden of Atlanta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Denise Borden Cunningham and Jeff of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Sarah Cunningham of Knoxville, TN, Lauren and Anna Grace Cunningham of Athens, TN, and Abbey Borden of Madisonville, TN; sisters and brother-in-law, Alene Duckett of Cleveland, TN and Pauline Risner and Vernon Campbell of OH. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. No formal visitation will be held. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, C/O Faye Forgety, 120 Co. Rd. 447, Athens, TN 37303.
