Violet Katherine “Tootsie” Moore Johnson Patterson, 88, of Englewood, passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 10, 2012, at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home in Etowah. A daughter of the late David Edd and Bessie Moore, she was a member of Englewood Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bruce E. Moore and Leonard M. Moore; and two sisters, Mary Rose Scoggins and Gloria Moore. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Yvonne King of Englewood; one grandson and spouse, Daniel Kent and Christina King of Englewood; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Samantha and Sean King, all of Englewood; two sisters, Billie Jean Pratt and Pansy Corvin, both of Englewood; one brother, Ted Moore of Englewood; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cardin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Mars Hill Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday for a committal service. Family will serve as pallbearers.
